Pigmentation

What is skin pigmentation?

Specialised skin cells give your skin colour by making a substance called melanin. When these cells become damaged or unhealthy, it affects melanin production and can leave your skin unevenly pigmented or blotchy. Some pigmentation disorders affect patches of skin on your face, hands, shoulders or other parts of your body. Hormone therapy, hormone imbalance, pregnancy, age and chronic sun exposure can make your skin darker in irregular patches.

How can I remove unwanted pigmentation?

The IPL Skin Pigmentation treatment is applied to the unwanted pigment area by ipl-close-upplacing a hand-held treatment unit on your skin. This generates an intense pulse of light into the skin which is absorbed by the unwanted pigment. Once the light hits the pigmentation it turns to heat energy. This heat energy destroys the abnormal areas, but leaves the normal healthy skin unscathed. The skin works quickly to mop up the debris and begins a natural healing process which sheds the unwanted pigment. The result is a firmer, softer and evenly toned skin.

Inaar Skin & Body have developed treatment protocols that utilise a variety of techniques to even out pigmentation spots and reduce the signs of sundamage.

The results below were obtained with just one session of IPL. The client below presented with a promimant brown spot near his right brow which was removed swiftly, the client has also undertaken skin rejuvenation treatment to reverse the signs of sundamage.
